Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Vital Signs & Monitoring: Measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate; report any changes to supervising staff.
- Patient Support: Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a safe and caring environment.
- Nutrition Assistance: Assist patients with eating and hydration needs, ensuring proper dietary intake as directed by healthcare providers.
- Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary patient environment; assist with light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Patient Mobility: Safely assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and positioning; ensure adherence to fall prevention protocols.
- Documentation: Record patient information accurately in the medical record system, including intake, output, and any significant changes in behavior or condition.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in [State].
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
